From my Sketchbook

There wasn't much chance for sketching outside while I was on holiday due to the freezing weather and me being too much of a wimp to sit in the cold.   The above is a crow from a London Park from one of my photos.

This is my moleskine and I sketched the view from my mum's front window while sitting next to the heater.

Of course I have a  selection of airport sketches too and the  backs of  people's heads... all the 'lovely' things you find to draw to keep the boredom away while travelling.
I took a mini sketching kit with me that fitted in my coat pocket, but found my Lamy Safari pen leaked under the plane's cabin pressure,  not good when your ink is the indeliable (bullet proof) type!

I love that little bird! His expression, even i profile, is so precious! Well done! I envy the way that you can render those memories so quickly and so beautifully.

Well the cold has given way to wet but warmer weather now - still not great for sitting outdoors though.

Love the crow

We are all whimps this year! Not just you. Lovely little bird painting and also the difficult roof top sketch. the moleskin seems to take the watercolour well. Hope you had a great hol.

Your crow sketch has so much character and expression. Looks just like the crows that live in our area. The sketch of the village from your moms' window is lovely.

Lovely sketches Cathy. It has been cold here in England. Just when you think Spring has sprung it all goes wrong. Are you back home now?
