Chalk and Cheese

I love to do these little sketches in watercolour, it's good practice and it's good to have a break from my big oil paintings.  Both of these are of men, but one is Sicilian and the other is English....I bet you can't tell which one is which!

My art group has booked our exhibition for May so I'm going to be preparing some new work to go with the pieces I already have.  I'm focused and ready to go! (hopefully)

Love the people and yes, I can guess which is which. Good luck with finding subjects to paint for your exhibition

Love the Sicilian "model" - and how wonderfully loose it all looks.

These are so nicely done. I admire the proportions and movement in the gestures that you've conveyed. And with watercolor! I don't know how you can do that. The exhibition sounds like fun, I'm sure it will all come together and be a wonderful time.

Superb! Wonderful painting - I like the subtlety of it. And of course I can tell which is which! I can tell by their accents.
