I decided to have another go at my 'cherry necklace'. This is in watercolour and coloured pencil, the first one I did was in watercolour only and was painted from life.
I used my original painting and a photograph I took of my set up at the time. So which do you like best? You can see the original here

I think I prefer this new one as it seems somehow richer in colour but I'd happily see them both in a frame on my wall!

The cherry colour is stronger in the mixed media version but I think my favourite is the first one simply because I like the 'bleed' better
as Gillian has said though, I'd happily hang both on my wall
They are both beautiful, if I had to choose, I might say the second, as I love the addition of the blues in the shade
Gosh, I couldn't decide, kept going back and forth. It's a draw!
This is beautifully done, but I like the first one best, it's more vibrant and alive.
I like them both! We have ONE cherry on our tree this year, after the cold spring ruined the blossom!
