Soon be Summer!

Summer is on the doorstep and beach huts will be going up on the beach.  My little painting shows just one, when in fact there are rows and rows of them.  They're not cheap to rent either!

I sketched this old villa while eating my sandwich at lunchtime.  I thought I had found a quiet spot but it turned out to be quite busy with people walking dogs and jumping in and out of cars.

Small paintings and sketching in my sketchbook give me a sense of having achieved something even when there's not much time in the day for anything else!

These are lovely sketches and like the fact you paint from your far. I am just trying to come up with a very small selection of art materials that I would need to take out with me. Seeing people like you paint anywhere is very inspirational.

Beautiful sketches! I love the little beach hut that makes me wish at least for ... Spring ;.. under our dull, grey sky and cool temperatures! You've captured the sunlit atmosphere really well !

Nothing says resort like a tiny blue hut on the beach

I love them! :) And I could totally sense the summer closing in just by looking at the vibrant colors

What a lovely place for lunch! I like how you portrayed the lines and shadows of this building so nicely. And summer... yes! That painting is particularly appealing because it speaks of lazy, carefree days! Your work has a life to it that is very refreshing!

Lovely Cathy... will you do a sketch of a row of beach huts in the future?

What a lovely villa. You do chose the best places for lunchtime sketches.
