Hidden Away

Just a little sketch in between working on some bigger paintings.
This tiny harbour is hidden away and really only known to locals.  It's also where you find my favourite pizzeria, a tiny little place along the harbour wall.  It's popular in the summer months and you may have to wait ages for a pizza if you don't book, but it's worth it to sit by candlelight overlooking the fishing boats.    I get hungry just sketching this place!

Looks a peaceful spot.

This is lovely... so serene and quaint, the way you portray the scene. I admire your ability to include just the right elements of each scene you paint, and leave out the unimportant things. Your works create a feeling of peacefulness because of that.

Dear Cathy, this sketch make me dream of the beautiful places you have around and of the joyful summertime in Sicily... I love the colours, especially in the sky!

I really like the colors of the buildings and how you used perspective in this painting. Plus I can almost smell the pizza.
