Rosso Pommodoro

I had to rummage in my fridge to find something to sketch today.   A big carton of cherry tomatoes was just the job as I wanted something colourful.  I hung them over the side of  a large bowl and chose only to do a small bunch otherwise I'd have been painting them still!

Beautiful Cathy,it makes me want to be in Italy and eat lots of tomatoes and delicious Italian food.
Great snail below too, I gathered a (rather large) snail to draw a few weeks ago and left him on my balcony, he escaped at great speed and visited again late one night. I'll draw him next time

I love tomatoes and would have only got to paint a few before I'd eaten them - lovely vibrant reds, great snail too!

They look fabulous. I like the effect of a squished one dribbling down the page.

Lovely sketch, Cathy! This summer my mind is set on the red colour (i'm almost every day wearing something red), so your joyful tomatoes have hit my attention like the smile of a friend!
