Carry - Illustration Friday
Snails carry their homes on their backs which sounds and looks like heavy going......but when you pick up an empty snail shell they are very light and made to measure. At least snails don't have far to go to bed when they feel tired!

Nice approach to the IF word.
Really nice work. Congrats.
Beautiful snail! Love the color and light reflections!
Yes...but in my garden they always go to bed with a full stomach! Beautiful...and I love his lavender color!
sweet and simple and beautiful!
Love this! :o)
Who would have thought the humble snail was so wonderfully colourful?
Such a pretty watercolor!
Cathy, I love your snail. He looks like he's on a mission, with both antennae at the alert. :)
This is so good...love all the detail in the shell! They are such cute creatures...just wish they were not so destructive in the garden!
Ooo he's lovely! Great colors.
So beautiful. I love how it feels like light is just filling in the painting.
Gorgeous! Considering I do not like snails at all, this is quite beautiful... you are very talented. :)
How strange Cathy....
The oil painting I told you about has a snail in it. Their shells are Fantastic!
And this painting is Fantastic too!
Love it.

This is such a great idea for the topic, and an unbelievably lovely painting! Wow...love it!
I like the way you vignetted him on the page, and you captured the slightly soft squishiness of the body nicely. Good use of the word of the day--much nicer than, say, a grocery bag!
This is the sweetest snail I've ever seen. You have a way of portraying your subjects in ways that give them such character and personality.
Well this is the cutest snail in the world and he has the prettiest shell ever! Beautifully done.
Great work! I love snails, they're so cute!
Lovely - I'm always amazed at the variation in shell colour and patterns when I encounter snails when out walking.
I love your paintings! They are beautiful!
