A blog by Cathy Holtom, an English artist living and painting in Sicily.
Who would think that logs could be so lovely!
Okay, the truth, it's really a photo? I really thought so at first, told myself, "oh, Cathy puts up photos on her blog now"... Amazing work! And speaking of work, I've lived in a house entirely warmed with wood/fire, it was a lot of work, full weekends of cutting/gathering wood (for the husband, not me!) - still, not so much fun...
This is great! Who knew a stack of wood could be so interesting. I love the browns and purples and the delicate lines. Nice job!
I shall look at the log store as a thing of beauty now, not just as a means of keeping warm!
Very pretty. Kind of makes me look at my wood pile with more appreciation :)
It's a lovely reminder, that beauty is in everything! :)
It is an amazing piece.
I absolutely love this - both the concept and the execution are perfect.
This is a perfect example of seeing the beauty in everyday things. I really, really love this...it's such fun to look at all of the textures and subtle colors.
Great work Cathy
Great texture and very very origional take once again. I see that your sketcbook is coming on great too ~ I love the boats in particular
Gorgeous! Great patterns in the ends of the logs, and colors. Wonderful!
wow Cathy, I thought it was a photo at first-and they're lovely logs, each one unique and different
Love the idea. Store piles of woods for the coming winter and indulge on the fire's heat.diablo 3 accounts for sale
