Swarm

Illustration Friday  - Swarm

I used some birds from my sketchbook and put them on a telephone wire instead of a tree.  I actually often do see them sitting like this but not quite so many and  I keep meaning to draw them.    I can just imagine them chattering and squabbling together!

I love this, you really can imagine them chattering and squabbling! My local birds also sit on the phone wires like this, though they don't tend to stay still for long! Great work! :)

I like how all of their shapes are so distinctive. It's a nice drawing.

A great work! It gives a sense of unsettlement... black birds are somehow a powerful symbol of menace!

Very nice and simple. I love how each is unique and has a different position. -yes, I can hear them too. :)

Super drawing! In the summer we see lots of swallows on the phone line in front of the house.

Love it (I love birds), and it reminds me of these crows we have here in town (and there is thousands) and they all come from all corners of town and end up together on tree tops for the night.
Its like magic watching them fly to teh meeting place, all quiet flying together from all directions.

Great drawing!!

I absolutely love this. it's so simple, yet so evocative. Almost makes one want to be sitting up there with them and be in on their chatter!

Beautiful silhouettes. Sensitive and understated.

Perfect in it's simplicity. I enjoyed your Palermo sketches, too. Lucky you, to live and work surrounded by such beauty!
