Celebrate 2011 with me! (The great January giveaway)

We all love a giveaway and what better time than the start of a new year?

If you remember I made quite a few  bookmarks as Christmas presents this year.  They were fun to make and let me play a little with colour and designs.  I had a couple left over and I thought I would let someone have them as a present from me.   The finished product comes with a ribbon threaded through the hole so that you can mark your place in your book, or just use them simply as a greetings card.

All you have to do is leave a comment at the end of this post and I will use a random number generator to select a winner.  You have until January 15th to comment and then  I will announce the winner on January 16th!

Give away or not, they are beautiful... I always liked small pieces of art, makes it more interesting and you see more of the little details. My favourite is the one on the right. A give away is a fun idea, something I thought about doing my self in my blog, but didn't know how to really go about it (is this your first give away?).

Happy New Years!!!

Your bookmarks are lovely and one would look terrific between the pages of a book in the pile I intend to read in 2011. Thank you for the chance to win some of your artwork. You are very generous!

Oooh, a give away! :)
These are lovely! I think I wouldn't dare use them in a book I put in my bag because I'd be too afraid to damage them. But there's this pile of books at my bedside table which would be very happy to be honored with a real bookmark instead of tramway tickets and strips of paper tissues... ;)

What a kind offer - I would love to have your bookmarks. I like to do small paintings on scraps of left-over paper - hate waste!

I also love your work and am always inspired by it. I think these bookmarks are lovely, just thinking you could copy them as prints and sell them, Im sure they would go but love the idea of a giveaway and keep thinking I should do one at some stage.

Dear Cathy,
Lovely bookmarks. And what a fun way to bring all the lurkers out into the open. Like others I always have a pile of books that I'm reading so if I win they will be put to good use.

These are gorgeous. I love the different format and the non-traditional feel of art on a bookmark, or any small format. It makes one feel free to experiment, and do something different without risking too much time.
These are very pretty, and I'd be thrilled to win some of your original art!

Just "found" your blog by coming here from VP/"Myrtle Street, Boston" on which I wrote: 'Like this closeup shot. Like the "cleanness" and "sparseness" of this. Just the right amount of everything. Colors are perfect!' Will spend some time on your blog now; add you to my list that I follow. Your work looks very inspiring and intriguing.
