Something that should have been definately invented by now is chocolate that doesn't make you fat. In fact WHY hasn't it been invented? Can you imagine how good it would be? We could eat as many chocolate eggs as we wanted, chobble on big bars of milky chocolate and keep a box of continentals open by the computor! They say chocolate has a good effect on the brain making us feel happier, well I would certainly feel happier if I had 'healthy' chocolate to eat everyday!
The only chocolate I had in the house to draw were some Cadbury's giant chocolate buttons, my favourites. These were from the bottom of my suitcase and are probably a bit stale, which is why they were still available to draw. Any other chocolate in my house wouldn't have lasted long enough!
I miss my Buttons and Maltesers : - (

Oh Cathy - this is delicious , in more ways than one. I adore giant buttons and like to keep them in the fridge so they last longer in the mouth. Pure sensory heaven! LOL
I love this piece. x
Genius!! (and a lovely drawing)
Just tell me when your invention is available and I'll buy several packets !! :o)
Great sketch !
Very well done! I love the story that this picture tells. It has a fun, nostalgic tone to it.
How long does it take you to complete a piece like this?
I've noticed that I am probably the slowest artist in the world... just wondering how much time other artists spend on one piece.
Delicioso! The colour are so inviting. You did invent no calories chocolate in this virtual version.
Katherine - this one took me about 2-3 hours as it is biggish and has a lot of colour in it. I find the more I draw the quicker I get.
This is absolutely delicious -- and the enlargement reveals the perfection of every detail! Beautifully done, Cathy.
I think you're onto something big here. I'd order a pallet of the stuff, as long as it is available in dark chocolate! :D Wonderful drawing too! (or would this technically be a painting?)
Beautiful painting - you really captured the surface textures and reflections on the chocolate. Now we just need to find some!
i love this idea!
& chocolate is most definitely a must have in my everyday diet, or somebody's in trouble! =D
Great idea Cathy.
Very very creative! I am pretty sure my wife wouldn't disagree with it ^^
Love the illustration too
Beautifully rendered, as always. I don't eat chocolate, I'm more of a cake person so cake with no calories would be my choice:)
Lovely sketch!
What a wonderful idea - and a wonderful sketch! I prefer dark chocolate so could you please make sure to manufacture some of this, when you go into production!
Lovely painting. Under my dieting rules, if you eat your friend's chocolate, you don't have to count the calories, as they belong to her!! Another rule? - broken biscuits have no calories, as they fell out when the biscuit broke!!
A gorgeous drawing and a glorious idea!!! FABULOUS!!
Yummm. I am not a big chocolate person, but this looks delicious. The drawing is superb - so smooth and chocolatey!
Ha ha! Love your idea... non-fattening chocolate! Of course.... why hasn't it been invented yet? Life is very cruel ;O)
I have to say, chocolate would never sit around long enough in my house to become stale!!!!!
Oh, you could be a gazillionaire if you could perfect that recipe! Wonderful drawing of the candy .... I gotta go - I hear the siren song of chocolate! nancy
Great Cathy
