Strong and Silent

'Silent' for Illustration Friday.
This one is obviously the strong and silent type!  We have a beautiful park right in the middle of the city, I love to take my sandwiches there and hear the traffic and city noise fade away.  There are many statues  among the trees and flowers (the park dates from the 17th century), an ideal spot to while away an hour or two!

This is really great. I love the colors you chose for the statue - and it really looks like a statue! (Ok, maybe that sounds silly but I don't know if I could do a statue hehe). Really great lines, too.

Its wonderful! I like how you used the soft colors to give the scene and the day a special mood. Very nice!

This was also a difficult statue to capture--such an intricate pose, and you nailed it. I particularly like the plinth he's on.

Beautiful. Love the subtle shading. The background is very effective - the statue really stands out.

I think the previous comments say all that I was going to say!

nice drawing. Reminds me of when I lived in Sicily (lower part of the island)

Strong and silent - and very modest too. LOL It reminds me of The Thinker. Another great take on the IF theme. x
