Stripes

'Stripes' for Illustration Friday.
The best stripes are found in nature, animals, fish and plants all have some wonderful patterns and colours.
This is part of a bigger painting that I'm working on but still a long way to go.

Such pretty colors. Looks like something you'd find in a bright, magical land. The main leaf looks really terrific.

I'm waaaay behind on blog visits: these striped leaves are gorgeous - very Georgia O'keefe-esque.

And last week's "scary" statue was fascinating. What an ambitious piece...wonderfully complex.

Thank you for the comments, these are some of my favourite colours.
I will post the finished painting but I'm a slow painter it might be a while!

Wow you have some really beautiful colors and motion in this piece. I love how you've made these stripes such a powerful subject. :)

You've done lots of beautiful work since I was last able to visit your blog. The grapes are fabulous and I love the scary monster too.

Your output seems to be accelerating both in quantity and in sheer deliciousness. Is that even a word? Lovely work - I could see this adapted as curtain fabric, LOL
