Something to cherish

Everyday matters 266 - draw something you cherish.  Here's an old photograph, blurred and yellowed with time.
It's my mum and dad, my 'little' brother and me  on the beach together many years ago.
I have all sorts of  treasures that I keep to remind me of when I was young, my grandparents, my children when they too were little, and what I really cherish are the memories they bring back.

Your picture is wonderful. You really picked a great subject to cherish. Memories are the best and I have come to know how important they are as I watch my Dad have his memories stolen by dementia.

How clever to draw an actual photo - just think of the extensive subject matter we all possess. Love it!

Your drawing is very touching, the idea of drawing a photograph but also the way you did it, beautiful!
