"Getting better in your wardrobe"
A sketch of the inside of my wardrobe/closet for the EDM sketch challenge. I noticed that most of the clothes in my wardrobe are neutral 'safe' colours and then got thinking to how nice it would be to open the door and find something different. What would be in there? So I drew an imaginary wardrobe and it's contents.
In my 'alternative' wardrobe there would be a turquoise kimono, a Moulin Rouge outfit complete with a feather boa, ballet dress and shoes and a leather biker's jacket and boots.
What would be in yours?
Both in watercolour and coloured pencils.

Where's the can can dress?!
What a great idea - and great sketches. Wish I could draw a new set of contents for my closet then open the door and stand amazed...!!!
These are wonderful! I love your idea of the alternative closet. Mine would have all size 10, flowing, lacey, sparkly. Sooo unlike my real closet.
Beautiful drawings! Love the texture and colors... and the depth too ^^
I love these drawings and especially that you redesigned your wardrobe. I'm all for that! I really like the softness of the drawings. Super! nancy
I love both drawings! In my fantasy wardobe I would have my favourite clothes that don't fit at the moment in a bigger size ....
Both drawings are so nice! Great job!
Looks like you have a flamenco side to your personality, with those ruffes! Wooohoooo!!!
Fabulous drawings, both of them!
What a fun idea to do the two wardrobes. I really enjoyed them both, but especially the flamboyant one! I am afraid a drawing of the contents of my my closet would be oh so boring!
Your alternative is such a great idea - very creative! I'm with Ellen - there's hot stuff behind those neutral safes!
All that said, I really like the drawing of your real clothes. My ideal closet - neutral safes. :)
Great artwork, Cathy. My wardrobe is pretty neutral too but I have no hankering to change to flamboyant colours!
Pretty much said it all above, and I agree with each and every fellow EDMer...such fun. I noticed that except for red, you have every color from your fantasy closet in your real one ... only quieter. Your inner self is peeking through! :)
If I think about it Phyllis, you're right. The only reason I don't wear red is that it doesn't suit me anyway.
Thanks to everyone for the kind comments x
I noticed a couple of years ago that my wardrobe was mostly safe colors too! I've slowly been working in more color...though my husband has to remind me that it won't do to have ALL green! I think your sketches both look wonderful and I especially like the creativity involved in the imaginary wardrobe!!
