Most days I have an early start as I have to get my son to the station before 7 am, this leaves me with an hour or so before the rest of the world awakes. So I've been using that hour for sketching as time is short during the day.
How do you make time to sketch?

Such wonderful reflections on your espresso pot!
Such wonderful reflections on your espresso pot!
Love the espresso maker! Sadly...sometimes I can't find the time. Usually it's in the evening when I am done with other things.
This is a beautiful painting of your coffee pot. The colors you used to make silver work well. I bet this pot makes delicious coffee. What brand do you use?
Glorious colours and reflections on this lovely coffee pot !
Ditto ... love the espresso pot and the background looks almost like spilt coffee.
Yes Sue I thought the same as I painted!
Barbara - I don't use any particular brand but the best is freshly ground beans either bought or home ground.
Thanks for the comments :)
I love this simple subject so beautifully painted. Reflections like that are so hard, well to me they are! Will be following your blog with interest.
"La Moka" brings back some wonderful childhood memories of smells and sounds. I bet that was fun to paint.
great drawing.
You did that silver finish so beautifully! I'm fascinated by this piece! It's like the pot is reflecting the entire grandeur of the morning sky in its surface...
I painted one of those once - back in 2009, before I really knew how. Should try again. Great subject, so well done - love all of the colors.
I sketch in the morning after I drop off my son and before work, then sometimes at lunch break, then sometimes at night, and some on the weekends. It is all flowers growing between the cracks - it amazes me that I have gotten as much done as I have.
i've been struggling with finding time during day light hours lately, too. in recent weeks, i've been doing all my sketching in the evenings. i'm looking forward to finding some day time hours once we get past the end of the year.
your coffee pot is wonderful. i really like how you are able to convey so much with such soft lines.
wonderful drawings! I am not a big coffee fan but I want some right now! :D
You have a nice light delicate touch with watercolour. Very nice! I really like your previous post with all that wonderful red.
Happy Painting.
Ciao,
dal tuo secondo lavoro si respira ancora un po' di aria da estate e ti invidio davvero ...anch'io vorrei vivere in Sicilia, al mare...Per ora รจ una delle mie mete per le vacanze...
La caffettiera completa il relax...
Belli i tuoi lavori!
Ciao, ciao, Floriana
I admire you for being able to paint so early in the day! Both your paintings have the freshness and light of an early morning, when everything still has to start and the heart is full of hope...
