Return

Watercolour sketch

The long and winding road that leads to your door
Will never disappear
I've seen that road before it always leads me here
Leads me to your door.

(Lennon and McCartney)

'Return'  is the prompt for this week on Illustration Friday, the words to the Beatles song fits with the idea of a road taking you back to wherever it is you need to return to.
You can listen to all the song  here

How can I not love art accompanied by the Beatles? Lovely in every way.

Beautiful watercolour, Cathy, and the song is just right with it! Love it!

I really liked this painting even the speckles which I used to imagine pebbles in the drive and birds in the sky.

Nice landscape. It goes so well with the song and the theme.

I really like the looseness and lack of detail in this one coupled with a fine composition.

It's a lovely view that really speaks about home also to me, Cathy! The light is the perfect sunshine of a day of spring!

Nice painting of a road and great choice for your idea. I have the road. I have the place calling me back. I also have a husband who is happy where he's at right now. Someday I will travel the road that calls me!
