Backstreet Sketches

It's been a busy week but I managed to grab a few minutes each day to do a few sketches while out and about.   All sketched from my car (it's not very warm just now) and often in the rain!  These are all backstreets, it's surprising what you can find.

The old building above looked as if it had once been something grander, all the windows were different and looked as if they had been knocked out of the original wall, but there were also some small details left from its previous life.

This last one is a side entrance to Villa Palagonia (the one with all the monstrous statues), bricked up and forgotten down a side street.

It's great that you're finding the time, even grabbing a few minutes in the car. The sketches give a sense of some of the wonderful architecture that you have there.

What pretty backstreets - rather more charming than the backstreets here!

Lovely sketches! I love how you're able to render these views in such an artistic manner, and make them look so lively, that I'd want to visit these places someday

How interesting and such a range of buildings down your backstreets.

Wow, sketched from the car, that's so funny! (But smart!) All very interesting buildings and captured so nicely with your delicate style and colors.

I sometimes sketch from the car too. These are wonderful! I especially like the building with the bare tree branches. It looks like a place I would enjoy seeing inside.
