'Brigade' is the theme for this week's Illustration Friday.
Geese seem to work in groups as they defiantly take on strangers and people often use them to guard property. These Canadian geese were in one of London's parks, but I have vivid memories of been chased across a field when I was a little girl by a gaggle of white geese!
It's getting closer to Christmas and I've many things to prepare so this illustration has been transformed into a Christmas card... I just added some white acrylic blobs and they became 'snow' geese.

Clever of you to think of updating with snow. Geese make a good subject with their beautiful shape, I like your take on them.
Very nice geese and a nice composition. Love the blues in their feathers.
My mother was deathly afraid of geese after having been chased by them as a child. I always thought she was overreacting until one day when I was walking around the path at our local lake and one reached out and bit me in the shin! Nice colors and composition...don't get too close!
Oh, this is so lovely! :)
I love your "snow geese"! I remember as a child being afraid of geese too.
I like your thinking - very creative. Geese are very scary, aren't they. I'll just enjoy looking at yours - better than the real thing! x
Beautiful! I love the colors, and the little dots of "snow" complete it as your card. Btw, I agree about geese being scary...swans, too. They can get really nasty. What they need is a good dog to chase them :)
I Love your work, Cathy!
Really? People use geese to guard property? I've never heard that before, but it makes a lot of sense. I love your geese. Especially in the snow.
Great work Cathy.(I know what you mean about geese, my uncle had some when I was a kid and was taught to keep my fingers well away!)
Love the snow geese! And no, I would keep a safe distance too :/
