Forbidden!

Everyday Matters - Something Forbidden

This one of my cats and probably the most feral of them all.   We call him Forrest (Gump) because of his habit of running off even if we just look at him.
He hates to be picked up, in fact he forbids it!   His whole body goes rigid and he fixes you with an offended stare...'how dare you!'
But he's not against a little tickle from me if he's in the right mood and I don't try to pick him up!

This was a test page to see how my new Moleskine Folio sketchbook works.  I made a real mess of the watercolour, so I lifted as much out as I could and went over the top with coloured pencils.

Aw! You've captured that sudden intense stare that cats give so very well. Love it. x

I agree, he looks like he's just spotted something and any second now... It's a great sketch, and nothng at all like our cat (well, my sister's!) who would be carried everywhere if he could be I think!

The colors of his fur are wonderful. Hard to believe you had such problems with it.

Lovely - and that's high praise from me, as I don't like cats!!

It's a wonderful drawing! Whatever went wrong originally isn't noticeable in your final product. I love it, the colors, and the effect.

Wonderful. He looks like he keeps an eye on everything. Does he also sometimes do that thing that my cats used to do, follow something very intently through the room that no one can see but them (makes you think there's a ghost in the house)?

The cat drawing is great, I also like your sketchbook pages. I'm getting my head round applying for it again this year to focus myself and funny enough i was also thinking of the encyclopaedia of theme.
