The Green Door

Hidden away in a corner, in a small village in the middle of Sicily, a tiny green door.  Obviously not used very much, otherwise you'd have to step over the plant pots everytime you went in or out.
I'd love to have a back door like this, with perhaps a big old key to go with it.

I would even love to have a FRONT door like this . . . surrounded by all that beautiful rock work . . . it's so charming. Your sketch is superb!!!

Totally charming - and I've just noticed that Bettyfromtexas ^ has used the same word. You manage it every time, Cathy! x

Super! Love the green and the rocks or stucco, and the potted plants too. In fact, I'd love to live there!

Oooh, I'd like to live behind that door. What a beautiful illustration. You are so fortunate to live in such a picturesque place, Cathy! I'm curious: do you scan or photograph your work when you post it? Your images are beautiful!

Lovely. I can just imagine a very lazy cat lying right in front of it. A very idyllic scene indeed ;-)

And some say a green door is unwelcoming! How wrong could they be?

Fantastic colours on this nicely sketched door! The texture on the stones is beautifully rendered too !
The whole page could be the cover for a fairy tale book !

Love the intensity of colours you have in this drawing and great contrasts.

It is a fabulous door!

I have a vague song running through my head about a green door! I'm sure it must be the door into 'The Secret Garden' - a favourite childhood book.
