Illustration Friday - Cultivate
I always wish I had time to cultivate different plants and flowers for the garden. By the time I've got some freetime in the summer holidays it's way too hot to make anything grow, it's all about survival then!
I have to stick to my succulents, cacti and 'sun loving ' herbs!
Watercolour, coloured pencil and pen in my sketchbook.

Great Cathy...know what you mean about having the time. What herbs do you grow?
Nothing more beautiful, than spring in a row! :) Lovely!
Dear Cathy, your sketchbook is full of delightful things! Even in this small detail of your garden or terrace there's the beautiful light of Southern Italy!
This is perfect for the theme Cathy, a lovely drawing!
This is lovely, I get the chance to garden and it is very rarely too hot in my country, just short of freetime though.
Elegant and beautiful.
I would love to have lots of plants in pots - but it is so much work to keep them watered! Lovely drawing.
Well if you can't have them on the patio then a good painting like this helps to ease the lack! Love it.
Charming watercolour.
I love to see things growing :)
Hello Cathy,
I'm just Potty about your drawing/painting.
Again - just wonderful stuff.

There's a lot of sweetness in this. =) I think it's because it reminds me of my mom, she has a lot of plants.
Love the colors as always Cathy, beautiful work
I empathize! This is a beautiful rendering for Illustration Friday!
So beautiful...I can just feel the warm sunshine. (It's cold and rainy here in California today, so it's a lovely image to me!)
What a lovely line-up!

Lovely little parade of pots!
Lovely! I garden even though it is a bit too hot where I live. I just have to start earlier in the year than most people. I plant tomatoes in late Jan, early Feb, while most people are snowed in! Time, I have lots of; motivation, a bit lacking! :D
Very pretty! That's how I always envision my herbs, but I never get around to actually growing them. Love the shadows!
This is just so lovely! Wonderful flowers.
This is a lovely sketch. I can just imagine all these fragrant herbs growing in your garden.
Debra - I grow the usual, basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano, mint, chives and much more. The plants in the drawing are from my imagination!
This is a gorgeous piece of work that just shouts Spring :-)
