A Boston Street View

The Virtual Paintout for January is in Boston.  I had a look round using Google Street and found Richard Gere  a nice man with grey hair walking down a street.  I didn't look any further and sat down in the house opposite to sketch.  From the little I saw of Boston it looks like a lovely city, one day in my dreams I will go there.....and maybe I'll find Richard Gere!

For anyone who hasn't heard of  the Virtual Paintout, it's a site run by Bill Guffey, who chooses somewhere in the world each month for us to paint or draw.  We use Google Street to find  a view  to use as a virtual subject then send it to Bill.

Thats neat, I think I have to take look in to the program... I like the painting you did, especially the window on the right (like the reflections of the greens, nice contrast against the red brick)...
And the man is not bad either (smile), I like the salt & peper hair (well done)

That sounds fun! Great painting! Cute guy!
Okay. My jealousy must be stopped. I am going over to Google Street right now and figure out how to use it!

Ooh now - I'm coming to Boston with you if it means we're going to bump into RG himself!

I like the way you've cropped this - it gives us all the information but we can expand it in our imagination. Nice work!

ha ha too funny. My initial streetview has RG on a bike, but I didn't like the background.

Great painting!!!
