Lovely Cathy,this one touches my heart.... really missed seeing (live!)ducks when I first came to H.K. but, strangely enough there was a mallard duck at the beach, years ago, which encouraged me to start swimming every day (just for the bizarre experience of swimming with a duck trainer)

Lovely and you got the malard colours spot on... Just love how the can keep the sleeping posture yet keep an eye on you : ) And amazed how they (birds) can bend the necks like that and be okay with it.
