Great sketches again, Cathy! I love the way you blended colours in both of them. The first face is so serene and mysterious too! As for the second sketch, I think pebbles are like clouds: you tend to "see" in them what is on your mind. Good luck for the rest of your sketchbook, mine is coming to a close (though I'll have to think about the covers:I have no idea what I want to do with ithem !)
More breathtaking work. How do you keep coming up with these ideas? I love the subtlety of the colouring on that top one, in particular - it really stands out. x
Love the stony face. Really cool. And the little face amongst the stones reminds me of a fantasy book a read a long time ago called the Onion Girl. Nicely done.
Hi Cathy, Did you know your return blog address has a typo in it? You left http://cathyholtomdustylane.blogpot.com/ as your address. It took me to a religious site of some sort. In any case, notice the "blogpot" rather than "blogspot".
In any case, I enjoyed looking through your recent posts. I particularly like your stone face; it looks so sculptural! And, your herb garden is inspiring!
I suspect your sketchbook project is looking fantastic now. I do like the face in the stones, lets be honest you can see them almost everywhere on occasion :)

I like this idea, I need to get my thinking cap on for my sketchbook, I am over halfway there.

These are just great - I've always loved the way you use colour.
Love these. The 2nd fella looks so sad lying there.
Beautiful drawings Cathy! Wow...the colorful shading is truly enchanting.
I love the stoney face, wonderful.
These are wonderful! You really captured the texture - they feel hard to me!
These are great! I find rocks hard to do convincingly, but you did them perfectly.
I like the stony face amongst the stones!
Both sketches are terrific!
Fabulous ideas and very well done!
gorgeous textures, beautifully drawn stones!
Your use of color and shading is just wonderful. And you're idea is very original and creative, as always! nancy
Lovely drawings - I especially like the first one.
Great pages Cathy, how many more have you got to do?
I love your faces made of stone! Very well done!
Both drawings are lovely, my favorite is the top one.

They are both so beautiful and delicate! The first one reminds some precious art piece coming from the past, the second drawing looks funny!
